Del brings with him decades of experience as a Senior Full Stack Developer and a well-respected leader in the technology sector. His track record speaks volumes: from leading custom domain services at Automattic for WordPress.com to building scalable, high-availability systems, Del has consistently demonstrated his ability to navigate and master complex technical landscapes. His skills in software engineering are second to none, but what excites us most is his leadership and commitment to operational excellence.
At Automattic, Del led a remote team responsible for custom domains on WordPress.com, Tumblr, and Gravatar including domain registrar services, domain search, DNS, and issuing millions of SSL certificates via Let’s Encrypt – directly impacting millions of users worldwide. His role went beyond coding; he streamlined processes, optimized workflows, and introduced innovative solutions enabling developers to focus on what truly matters: creating and maintaining top-tier domain services.
Del’s development philosophy is user-centric, even when focused on APIs and systems that end users don’t interact with directly: “An intuitive API is the silent enabler of user satisfaction.
